says she died Nov 27, 1895 aged 51 years, so birthdate according to tombstone was 1844.
Tombstone is wrong, parish register has her death as 27 Nov 1896 aged 61 years, so
birth date ca 1835/1836. She was born in Ireland. She married William Holden in Quebec,
on Jan 9, 1865. Family lore says she and her husband both died of typhoid fever. She is buried in
St. Alphonse de Ligouri RC Cemetery, Alumette Island, Quebec. Details of her marriage
found on yourfolks.com [subscription required]. This site has transcribed marriage
records for Quebec. It states that her parents were Michael Murphy and Jane Ryan.

he was born in Ontario. His ethnic origin is given as Irish as well. His parents were
Richard Holden and Elizabeth Egan. I believe his siblings were Mary, William, Richard,
and James. I believe Mary married Evangeliste Ranger and James Married Mary Doyle.
